Casting Solutions Built on Tooling Expertise
For more than 60 years, CPM has been the engineering and tooling behind low to medium volume castings.
In-house pattern tooling and print review. One accountable partner from print to finished part.
A Practical Partner for Cast Components
Family-owned across three generations, CPM Industries has supported manufacturers since 1960, with a foundation built in pattern tooling. Successful casting programs do not start at the pour. They start with the right tooling strategy, the right production plan, and clear direction from the beginning.
Today CPM is a casting partner. We own the engineering, the tooling, and the outcome, and each part is produced by the foundry partner best suited to its alloy, size, and quantity.
Because of that background, we often spot risks early that would otherwise lead to delays, scrap, or added cost. Customers come to CPM when a simple quote isn’t enough. They want a real review of the print, honest feedback, and one accountable partner who keeps the project aligned from start to finish.
What CPM Owns
We own everything around the pour, so the part is right before it and after it.
Each job goes to the foundry partner best suited to its alloy, part size, and quantity.
Foundries pour the metal. We make sure the print, the pattern, and the process are ready for them.
Heat treatment, machining, and testing are coordinated to your print.
What We Do Today
CPM Industries delivers complete casting programs across aluminum, ductile iron, gray iron, and steel, from initial concept through finished, machined parts. Every phase is aligned from the start to ensure predictable results.
01
Pattern and core box development driven by real-world casting requirements, designed and built in-house for manufacturability, repeatability, and long-term performance.
02
Each part is produced by the foundry partner best suited to its alloy, part size, and quantity, with the process defined around part geometry, material, and volume.
03
Machining scope, fixtures, and datum structure are planned with the pattern and coordinated to finished-part requirements.
04
Dimensional layouts, material certifications, and NDT coordinated as required, with support for first article inspection (FAIR), PPAP, and customer-specific requirements.

Common Questions
Straight answers for engineers and buyers sizing up a new casting partner.
Who pours the castings?
Each part is poured by the foundry partner best suited to its alloy, part size, and quantity. CPM owns everything around the pour: print review, pattern tooling, process planning, certificate review, and the outcome.
What size and volume do you support?
Low to medium volume, from prototype through repeat production. Typical casting weight runs from 0.1 lb up to 3,000 lb depending on the material, and aluminum castings typically run up to 250 lb.
How quickly will I hear back?
Within 24 hours. Every print is personally reviewed before we quote, and you get an honest answer on whether your part is a good fit for us.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, on request. We also have experience with MIL-spec material, testing, and documentation requirements.
What documentation can you provide?
Dimensional inspection with reporting, first article inspection (FAIR), PPAP, and material certifications, with NDT coordinated as required. Every material certificate is checked against your print and spec revision before it reaches you.
What should I send with my RFQ?
PDF drawings and CAD models, the material or grade and quantity, the drawing revision and any specs or customer notes that apply, and any machining, inspection, heat treat, or documentation requirements. Do not have everything finalized? Send what you have and we will help sort out the rest.
Where are you located?
East Dundee, Illinois, in the Chicago area. Call 630.469.8200 or email sales@cpm-industries.com, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central.
